The Railway Department is granting cheap excursion fares to Otira, available from Saturday until Tuesday, from Christchurch and Addington each week-end, until March 26, 1927. Hotel accommodation at Otira will also be reserved by the Department should passengers so desire. Particulars are advertised in another column in this issue. Members of the Christchurch Projectionists’ Society met last evening to to farewell Mr C. Lowry, one of the foundation members, who is leaving Christchurch. During the course of the evening Mr Lowry was presented with a leather collar box and a set of military hair brushes and case.
