“SON OF THE SHEIK” ENJOYS IMMENSE HEARING AT GRAND.

On account of the immense public interest taken in “ The Son of the Sheik,” Rudolph Valentino’s last picture, the management of the Grand Theatre wisely decided to screen the picture for a second week so that those who were turned away previously still would have an opportunity of seeing this magnificent production. Valentino, in a comparatively short screen career, made himself a universal favourite with those who followed the films. His last picture is as good as any he ever did, and It is fitting that so bright a career should conclude with a masterpiece. Before the picture is screened at the night session Mr David M’Gill sings “That Night in Araby.” The incidental music of the Grand Orchestra adds much to the general effect of the picture. There is an excellent supporting programme.
