The Christchurch Rotary Club, in addition to its arrangements for the annual orphanage appeal at Christmas, by which the inmates of orphanages are supplied with Christmas presents and money for their holiday funds or playground equipment, is at present engaged in organising a concert to be held on September 8, in the Choral Hall, in aid of the band instrument ftind for the Blind Institute at Auckland. jointly with the fund for obtaining a wireless set for the benefit of the Sunnyside Mental Hospital inmates. Tickets are obtainable- from the meml>ers of the club at the Bristol Piano .Company, where the box plan will ' open on Saturday.
