BRIDGE EVENING.
Bowls of beautiful flowers and crystal vases of shaded roses decorated the Canterbury Women’s Chib last evening, when a bridge evening was held, the hostesses being Mrs E. 11. Clark and Miss F. Lee. An apology for absence was received from the president, Mrs H. Holland. Mrs R. T. Tosswill, on behalf of the club members, welcomed Mrs H. C. Barber, of Vancouver, and Mrs Denniston, who has been abroad for the past two years. Mrs E. H. Clark wore a model frock of cherry georgette, handsomely embroidered round the hem. Miss F. Lee wore a charming frock of black crepe de chine with accordeon pleated over-skirt, with panel of quaint embroideries.
