NAME SUPPRESSED AT REQUEST OF ACCUSED WOMAN.
POLICE ALLEGE SHE ABANDONED CHILD. A woman, thirty-one years of age, appeared before Mr 11. A. Young, S.M.. to-day, charged with having unlawfully abandoned a female child under two years of age at Christchurch on November 16. Chief-Detective Gibson applied for a remand until to-morrow. •*. Accused asked that her name be suppressed. The Chief-Detective did not make any objection and the application was granted until the facts are made known to the Court. Accused will appear before the Court to-morrow.
