LATEST NUMBER OF “EMPIRE FELLOWSHIP” IS INTERESTING ISSUE.
The Imperial Conference number of “ Empire Fellowship.” which is just to hand, is an interesting issue and compares favourably with its predecessors. Messages from Prime Ministers of the Empire are listed under the heading “Imperial Conference" and make an interesting page in the magazine. Dr C. Norwood, head master of Harrow, contributes an article on “ The Public Schools and the Empire.” in which he is concerned whether the type produced by the schools knows how “ to set the cause above renown, to love the game beyond the prize.” “ The Navy and the Mercantile Marine.” by Admiral H. 11. Campbell, is an interesting contribution. A resume of the tours of the world made by the Prince of Wales, in which he is described as a “ first rate worker,” is well done, but it will not please New Zealanders to find the Dominion itinerary tucked away under the heading “ Australian Tour." Some day English writers may learn that New Zealand is four days' steam from Australia.
