ADDINGTON YARDS.

TO-DAY’S SALE. There were a Rain heavy entries of fat lamb* and fat cattle at the weekly stock sale at Addingrton to-day, but the yarding of fat sheep was considerably smaller, only ten races being forward, four less than last week. Fat cattle were in over-supply, the demand, no doubt, being affected by the hot weather, and prices showed a further decline, amounting to about 2f>s a head on bigger steers and 20s on cows. There was a small entry of store sheep. Good sorts sold well, hut there was not much of a demand for backward stuff. FAT CATTLE. Another heavy entry of fat cattle was forward. A good proportion came from South Otago and Southland, practically all well finished cattle. Few station cattle were forward, but there was a good representation of Peninsula cattle. Cows were forward in fair numbers. The market showe<k a further weakening. representing about 25s per head on bigger steers and 20s on cows. With the easing of last week, this represents a drop on the pre-carnival market of something over 40s a head. STORE SHEEP.
