The Dublin- correspondent of the “Daily News” says that investigations in connection with the armed raids revealed the underground existence of a most highly-organised, self-governing Republican Army, not owing allegiance to any party, and with the most extensive ramifications. The average citizen does hot know whether his neighbour is a member of this organisation Recently a well-dressed Dublin girl was convicted/ of conspiring to maintain this army. The same day two men and the daughter of Count Plunket. were convicted of 1 conspiring to attack money lenders under the army’s orders. Those arrested include the chairman of the Cork County branch of the Gaelic Athletic Association, also a champion hurdler.
