CHILDREN’S CORNER

A LETTER TO YOUNG MEMBERS OF THE

“ STAR ” CIRCLE.

STARLETS AND SHOOTING STARS—I’ve hardly a moment left to write to you, and it's just because some little people are forgetting to read the directions for the big Competition. Each mail brings Competition coupons along and part solutions which do not count at all, as all the solutions—the numbers of heads and bodies correctly matched —must come in together. If you read over the directions again, you will see how to divide your page into two columns and number off the first column, which is the body column, from one to a hundred. You will be able to help me quite a lot if you attend to all these little points and save up your ten coupons until the finish. The actual pictures of the animals with heads and bodies joined are not required when judging the results. One block of bodies appeared recently with a number accidentally missing—the missing number is twenty-five. As each coupon and part solution has to be returned, you will see how busy J have been kept. I had a story ready for you to-day, but am so sorry there is no room left. At the R's gathering on Saturday a very happy time was spent with games and competitions. Where did the Starlets go to? Shooting Stars easily outnumbered them! I want to ask you not to send in any more contributions at present, as the Joke Box is full. But save up everything interesting—not only jokes and riddles—but anything else that you think Starlets and Shooting Stars would like to read, and when the Joke Box is hungry, I shall let you know.—With love, EVANGELINE. n:iMiimiitiiuMmimi!iiiiiiiiiHiiiHmiiiiiimiiiHitiiHiiuiiimu)iiiiiuiiiiiiitmiimtiHjmiitiHHmiiiiiitiiniiiuiuiHii!iimiiHiniHiMtimniiiiiimiiiniiiiiimiiimiiiitii
