On her appearance last Monday she was remanded until to day in order to get ■ her system cleared of liquor. The Magistrate (Mr Lawry): Has she got the liquor out of her yet? Senior-Sergeant Martin: Oh. yes. but we had to get a doctor to her. Accused: That was because of the bad drink T had. The Senior-Sergeant: She was only released from gaol ten days before she got drunk. Accused: It. was my own wish to have the doctor called in. The drink affected my heart. The Magistrate: She has been in gaol for 48 hours. She *will be convicted and discharged so tong as she pays the doctor's fee, 10s 6d. Accused: Can I have tilt Saturday to get it? The Magistrate: Oh, ves. The Senior-Sergeant: Percy will give it to her. He’s got every thing belonging to her.
