THRILLING STORY OF RAILROAD LIFE AT STRAND THEATRE.
JOHNNIE WALKER HAS PRINCIPAL ROLE
The new programme to be screened at the Strand Theatre this afternoon and evening will be headed by a picture entitled “ The Transcontinental Limited,” in which Johnnie Walker plays the leading role. The story is said to be full of thrills and exciting incidents, one of the most outstanding being the mad dash of a runaway railway carriage. The story has an interesting love theme running mrougliout, and the climax is said to be both inter-
esting and unexpected. The second attraction will be “ The Last Man on Earth,” starring Earle Foxe. This is a highly imaginative fantasy of a world suddenly denuded of all men through a strange disease. For years women kept up a search for a man and when at last one was found living like a. hermit he was brought back to civilisation and his lucky finder sold him to the nation for ten million dollars. The story is highly amusing and entertaining. The second episode of the serial film, "The Winking Idol,” a comedy and a news Him will also bo screened. HARBOUR LIGHT THEATRE. “ITJs Majesty, Bunker Bean.” a comedy feature starring Matt Moore and Dorothy Devore will bo the chief attraction at the Harbour Light Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday next. On Thursday and Friday “That Royle Girl.” a Paramount special production by D. W. Griffith and featuring Carol Dempster and W. C. Fields, will bo screened. “Grass,” an epic story of the ancient Persian migration, will be shown ou Saturday next.
