CLOUDBURST FLOODS SUMNER TOWNSHIP.
A cloud-burst was experienced in Sumner between 6.30 and 830 o'clock last night. In some of the streets the flood waters spread rig'ot across the roads and passengers off the trams, who had left the city in fine weather, stepped into water over their boottops. The Richmond Hill gauge registered a total fall of .95 inches.
