The Railwav Department advertises a special cheap excursion, Christchurch to Timaru. on Saturday. November 27. A fast service is being provided and should prove attractive to those to whom a day at the southern seaside resort appeals. At the Lyttelton Magistrate's Court this morning, Harry Newell, alias Ashford, who was convicted at Auckland recently on a false pretences charge, appeared charged with failing to make the restitution ordered by the Auckland Court, He was remanded for m week.
