CHINESE STUDENTS TAKE CHARGE OF COLLEGE. REDS AT WU CHANG AND HANKOW MOLEST FOREIGN RESIDENTS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Aus. and •N.Z. Cable Association. (Received November 20, 11.30 a.m ) PEKIN, November 19 The Wu-chang Teachers* College has closed as a result of disgraceful insubordination and the threatening attiture of the Chinese students, instigat ed by Liu-yang, neighbouring students who were responsible for the recent evacuation of missionaries. The Vice-Principal was flogged and incarcerated and forced to promise not to return to the College. The students then took possession of the College, insulted and threatened their foreign teachers and demanded control and the right to decide questions of discipline. The Hankow situation is daily becoming more serious. The Foreign Concessions are repeatedly entered by car loads of armed Reds. On various pretexts, contrary to the regulations, foreign property has been searched and motors commandeered. British marines ashore were stoned by the mobs.
