Duke Is Keen Angler, And Hopes To Land N.Z's Biggest Fish.
Uy Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright.—“ Sj’dney Sun ” Cable. (Received November 20, 11 a.m.) LONDON, November 19. The Duke of York is daily reading newspaper reports of current events in Australia and New Zealand to familiarise himself with them. He is especially pleased to notice that the New Zealand deep-sea fishing: season has opened, and hopes to try his skill at landing something really big. He often read of New Zealand’s wonderful fishing. Friends had told tales of wonderful sport there. He himself is a keen fisherman, and seizes every chance of trout and salmon fishing in Scotland. His largest capture is a forty pound salmon, but he fears this is only a puny affair in comparison with New Zealand catches.
