A Christchurch man has received the following letter from Naik Thakar Singh, of the Ghurkas, who visited New Zealand with the Indian Army Hockey Team:— Bakloh, Punjab, India, October 6, 1526.—1 am writing a few lines that I have not forgotten you. Thank you very much for mentioning my name in the letter issued by the Canterbury Hockey Association. I will (rather we) never forget the accompany we enjoyed at Christchurch. I presume that you are not single now, you may have got marriage. I congratulate you and pray to God for your long life and prosperity. lam sending to your dear wife to-morrow by separate registered parcel a Khukri tie pin, wkich I think she will like. lam sorry I could not write good English and cannot express my ideas.
