COMPENSATION AWARDED TO INJURED WORKMAN.

Reserved Judgment was given by the Chief Justice in the Supreme Court in the case in which Patrick Brick claimed £BOO from the Stewart Timber Company as compensation for injuries received as the result of an accident. In Jure last year plaintiff had a leg fractured as the result of logs falling from a broken sling* His Honor awarded £550 Is 6d with costs to scale after giving credit for an amount paid as compensation under the Act.
