The case against him was not bv anv means a strong one His Honor said that an explanation • ' bv Ellis was a reasonable one, fnd he had refused to have anything to do with the goods. Mr Donnelly said that he did not think that the jury could be asked to C °His C lionor said that Ellis's statement showed that another man brought the * goods into his house. Ellis’s anxiety was to get rid of them, and they were sent to the railway station. The jury should not convict. Without retiring, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
