MR J. J. STAPLES REACHES SYDNEY, ON WAY TO CH'CH.

Staples, who represented New Zealand at the recent convention of the Association of Advertising Clubs of the World, at Philadelphia, has arrived in Sydney en route to Christchurch. He said that the Americans took advertising very seriously and were applying it to amelioration of all sorts of wrong conditions as well as for commercial purposes. They decided during the convention to seek the assistance of prominent advertising men to evolve some scheme to stem the tide of the unpopularity of Americans abroad.
