FREEZING WORKS TROUBLE IS EASING.
Per Press Association. HASTINGS, November 3. Important developments are - likely to occur in connection with the freezing trouble within the next twentyfour hodrs. Representatives of the men who are prepared to resume work with the different freezing companies called on the Mayor. Mr Maddison, this morning about certain important matters in connection with both meetings called b\' the union’s secretary' to decide regarding non-resumption of work by members of the. union. Members of the farming community waited on the Mayor this afternoon to discuss the situation. The general feeling is that things are easier. 1
