While searching the premises of Miss Elizabeth Macready at Governor’s Ba3*, who was found dead in her house on Friday, an officer of the Public Trust Office discovered a further sum of £7O hidden in a petrol case amongst newspapers. There were six £lO notes, £8 in silver and two £1 notes. The police on Friday found a sum of £6O hidden in different parts of the house. That the Anglican Cathedral in Christchurch contained emblems of the Roman Catholic Church was stated by the Rev John Enright in his address last night. He said the stand on the sid? of the altar, and the Mass book, belonged to the Roman Catholic Church. Such emblems as these were barred by the Book of Common Prayer.
