" PROBABLY A HOT AIR MAN, NOT REAL AIRMAN.”

GOVT. KNOWS NOTHING OF CAPT. ROBERTSON. (Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, October 15. Captain Robert Robertson, whose name appears in to-day's cables, until recently was employed with a motor firm in Auckland. He addressed a meeting in the city in regard to his project. The statement that a trans-Tasman flight was being made with the assistance of the New Zealand Government caused Mr J. A. Lee to ask a question in the House. The Minister of Defence, in reply, said he had no official knowledge of Robertson and knew nothing of his bona fides. The Government had not agreed to assist him in any way. Mr Lee remarked that. probably Robertson was a “hot air” man and not a genuine airman.
