Yesterday afternoon a motorist At Sumner overestimated the amount of petrol required, and allowed the greater part of a gallon to reach the road. Unthinkingly, he struck a match to light his pipe. But for the timely assistance of a large fire extinguisher, the car would have been reduced to scrap iron.
