JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL.
(Special to the "Star.") WELLINGTON, July 22. The Education Department has intimated to the Wellington Education Board its intention to inaugurate a Junior High School, at Blenheim at tached to Marlborough College. The chairman, Mr Forsyth, congratulated Marlborough. They were more lucky than Wellington, ho said, the promise coming six months after the promise to establish a Junior High School at Lyall Bay. School Holidays. The question of the synchronisation of the school holidays was raised on a communication from the . Department recommending the adoption of a scheme to bring this about. The sec retary said there was an ~ attempl throughout the Dominion to bring the primary school and college holidays into line. The board agreed to accepi the proposed scheme and recommendec that the University and Training < ol leges also agree, and that the firsl term’s work commence on February 1
