LABOUR PARTY CALLS ALL-AUSTRALIA CONGRESS.

An All-Australian Labour Party Congress has been called by Mr Willis for August 7 in order to endeavour to secure, a united party to oppose Mr Bruce's referenda proposals. Mr Charlton has been asked to attend. If he does so he wall be asked to explain the attitude he has adopted so far regarding the proposals. The New South Wales Executive' of the /Australian Labour Party has is sued a manifesto urging the workers to vote against Mr Bruce’s proposals, and in it describes the proposals as the most dastardly attempt ever made upon the liberty of Australian trade unions. The electors of the Commonwealth are to be asked to vote upon the ques lion of giving the Federal Government extended powers in dealing with industrial matters, the control of trade unions, the organisation of essential services in time of emergency, and trusts and combines in restraint of trade. ADELAIDE, July 21. In reply to a question in the Assembly, the Premier stated that he was going wholeheartedly to support Mr Charlton and the latter’s attitude towards the referenda proposals.
