WAIRARAPA MAY DRAW OUT FROM ROYAL AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
Per Press Association. MASTERTON, July 22. The existing dates of the Royal Show have been the cause of frequent protests from the Wairarapa P. and A. Societv, which contends that the Royal Show interferes with the entries for the Wairarapa Show, as breeders are inclined to hold, back the best, of the stock for the higher honours which are available at the Royal Show. The Wairarapa Society recently suggested that the Royal Shoxv should be held at the end of the spring shows to serve as a champion of champions fixture. Dissatisfied with the treatment it has received from the Royal Society, the Wairarapa Society is considering withdrawal of its membership from the Royal Agricultural Society.
