I think, his boast was most emphatic, “ I’m but a simple gink, but say the tale they tell me, is certainly a pearl, they say I am a swell, me, in fact that I’m an earl. I surely cannot credit, that I should take the job, this eminence I dread it, nor will I be a snob, the House of Lords each night'll my visage never see, I will not take a title, no golden crown for me.” Thus was this cowboy saying, “ I'll have no peerage thanks, in U.S.A. I'm staying, the simplest of the Yanks.” JTis words were most emphatic. and it is strange to find, that this Yank democratic, since then has changed his mind. There’s but one motive mighty to cause this change, I think, lie’s making tracks for Blight\-, to buy himself a drink.
