HELPED INJURED GIRL, COLLAPSED AND DIED.

Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 24. Alexander kirkland, fifty-one, a retired fanner, died suddenly. Evidence at the inquest showed that he had been working in his garden and saw a neighbour, Miss Swallows, fall from her cycle. On going to her assistance he found she had broken her leg. Kirkland assisted her to her home, where he collapsed and died before assistance could be summoned.

He had Served in the war. A verdict of heart failure was rc—turned.
