C.O.D. SYSTEM MEETS OPPOSITION FROM WELLINGTON TRADERS.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 23. An agitation is still going on against the cash on delivery parcel system of the Post Office. Representations were made to the Chamber of Commerce that it assist traders at home to the disadvantage of traders in New Zealand, and enable them to escape many charges the latter have to bear. It was also contended that goods are of doubtful origin and may be foreign, though they get the benefit of preferential duties. The Chamber endorsed the complaint and agreed to bring it before the Government.
