“ROLL DOWN” CASE IS ADJOURNED.
An adjournment of fourteen days was granted at the Magistrate's Court to-day in the rase in which Joseph Harlow and Herbert. Robinson, proprietors of a “ roll down ” parlour in High Street., were separately charged with keeping a gaming house and with playing, by wav of gaming, within view of passers-by in a public place, to wit. High . Street, a game or pretended game of chance. Chief Detective Gibson said that he had been advised that an appeal had been lodged in a similar case in Wellington, and he asked for an adjournment of fourteen days. Mr Tracy who appeared for the accused, offered no objection. The Magistrate (Mr H. A. Young, S.M.) adjourned the case until July 6.
