LATE SPORTING.

HASTINGS GALLOPS. Per Press Association. HASTINGS, June 22. The weather was fine for the training operations on the Hastings tracks this morning, and the going was good. Polar, alone, went half a mile in 50 l-ssec, and Crishna the same distance in 52sec. Royal Diadem and Olympic went six and a half furlongs in Imm 26 2-5 sec, the last three in 40scc. Little River and Braemftn went well over once round in lmin 44sec, Little River finishing well Mount Clyde, Polj-astra and Guanaco did a good working gallop once round in lmin 47 2-ssec, finishing together. Vivo and Jubilee were together over five furlongs in lmin. 5 4-ssec, Vivo going the better. Home Brew, Arch Salute and Birthmark were companions once round the pony hurdles. Arch Salute jumped fairly well. Birthmark hit the last fence, losing his rider. Multivc (Baker) and Velvet King (Eager 1 started o ffover the big country. Velvet King ran oft, Vulture going on alone and jumping carefully. Velvet. King was tried later, but ran off continuously, and was not persevered with. Omahu (M’Donald) and Landbird (Bowden) were companions in a schooling over the steeplechase course. Land? bird ran oft* at the first of the double. Omahu gave a faultless display. Lark Hall (Rennie) alone jumped the big fences carefully. Nukumai (Bowden) and Uncle Dave (Mason) started oft* at the hencoop, but at the first fence of the double Nukumai fell heavily. Uncle Dave, continuing alone, jumped well. Merekara (Wilson) and Bronko (R. E. Thompson) went once round over the hurdles, the former finishing in front. Both jumped well.
