TYLDESLEYS ARE NOT BROTHERS.
To the Editor. Sir—ln your Friday's issue you gave a crikct column on “Lancashire’s turn comes this week.” I am an old Lancashire ground staff man myself and beg to point out a number of errors in your article. There are no brothers Tv'ldesley playmg for Lancashire this season. Richard and Ernest are the only Tvl?<2?S y %£ iayinsr and the >’ are not reJated. Then vou sav “it will be re numbered that R. Tvldesley was one of the members of A. C.' M’Laren’s team.” This is not so. It was H Tvl d^je >Vr bro , ther of R-'s. who came W!th M Laren s team. He is not now a county player, nor has he been for tne past three seasons. You also say • “J- Tyldesley. also a fine bat." T. Tyldesley was, but he has been clead three years. Referring to Parkin as a slow bowler is as funny as Parkin himself. lie bowls perhaps one slow ball in twenty, but for the remaining nineteen he take sa run of twenty yards before delivery’. He is medium to fast. —I am, etc., W. BROWN.
