DRIVER SHOULD HAVE APPLIED BRAKES.
HE WAS TO BLAME, THE CORONER SAYS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 5. At the inquest on Harry Booth, who was killed by the collision of a . new limousine with a post at Papakura shortly before midnight on January 22, the Coroner (Mr Poynton, S.M.) found that deceased was accidentally killed. He said Joseph Mercer was a competent driver, but the car was driven too fast. Mercer was to blame for not applying the brakes when he felt that something was wrong with the car.
