EFFORT POSTPONE SPLIT IN LIBERAL RANKS TO BE MADE IN ENGLAND.
LONDON, June 4. It appears that the idea of the Liberal Parliamentarians was to let bygones be bygones. It is regarded as significant that three of Lord Oxford’s most prominent supporters were selected to interview him and to explain the position. They will report to a meeting on Tuesday. The opinion is that it will be difficult for Lord Oxford to retreat, nevertheless an effort to postpone a split will be made.
