In connection with the shooting of Greville the police at Northam arrested a young man aboard the transcontinental train. It is stated that they recovered from him all the missing money, except his train fare, and also an empty revolver. James Royston Rennie was charged with the murder of Greville. When arrested he was disguised, having taken out his false teeth, assumed a limp and discarded his overcoat, presenting ati entirely different appearance from the man who attacked two bank clerks. •
