DOMINION COUNCIL OF R.S.A. MEETS.

AFFILIATION WITH S.A. WAR VETERANS APPROVED. Per Press Association. SVELLINGTON, June 4. The Dominion Council of the R.S.A to-day approved of the principle of affiliation of the South African sVar s'eterans’ Association with the New Zealand R.S.A., and authorised headquarters'of the association to conclude negotiations. The Association (decided to support the South African Veterans in their claim to be placed on the same footing as the men who served in the late war. The principle of buying British goods was upheld, a recommendation being adopted from the Poppy Day Committee to procure artificial poppies from Great Britain, subject to the terms being equivalent to those under the present contracts. Headquarters were instructed to look into a complaint that certain disabled soldiers employed in the Civil Service are debarred from promotion on account of war disabilities.
