WAITRESS SERIOUSLY INJURED WHEN APRON CATCHES ALIGHT.
Rita Gatehouse, 16 years of age, a waitress employed at the Silver Service Ritz, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital last evening in a serious condition as the result of burns. She was standing before an electric heater when her apron caught fire and caused painful burns on her hands, fi.ee and chest. She \<’as reported to be still in a serious condition this morning.
