The Heathcote School Committee held its second euchre tournament in the school on Saturday evening. A pleasant evening was spent. Mr Conn ley and Mr Ilerdman were the prizewinners. and the. ..consolation prizes were awarded to Mr and Mrs Harry Perkin?. A Hospital Appeal. This year is the seventy-{seventh anniversary of the City of London Hospital, and A special appeal is being made on behalf of the £30,000 fund required to complete the extension scheme started in 1013, but postponed owing to the war. A small group of city business men founded this institution, and since its establishment it has rendered wonderful service to the community by treating patients not only in the London area, but large numbers who have travelled from all parts of tho kingdom to take advantage of the exceptional facilities offered in the treatment of consumption, bronchitis, and ether chest and heart troubles. ..
