Cambridge circles have been discussing the probability of some Senators on Saturday opposing the conferring of the honorary degree of D.C.L. on Mr Ramay MacDonald because they objected to his strike time utterances. Interest fizz led out to-day on the oflfii ial announcement' that the proposal -was withdrawn. It is understood that the vice-chancel-•r took this course after the receipt »t a communication from Mr MacDonald that he did not desire an honour beitowed by a majority vote.
