BOTH PLEADED GUILTY.
Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, June 2. On two charges of forging and uttering cheques drawn bv Hope Gibbons on the Bank of New Zealand, Christchurch, payable to the order of A. Leadsman, a man named William Robert Cooko, aged 29, pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence to the Supreme Court. Ernest Thomas Reid was charged with a breach of the Marriage Act by making a false declaration regarding his age, stating it to be 30 when it was 40. He married a girl whose age was given as 16. Reid pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence.
