The “Daily Herald.” referring to the rumoured possibility of Mr Lloyd George joining the Labour Party, sa vs:—“Labour represents something quite different from the political expedience of an alliance with an unrepentant and power-hungry Lloyd George. Even if it brought, momentarily. increased votes, it would be treacher} r to our faith. He would split Labour as he split Liberalism. The only place left for him is the political scrap heap, where he and the Earl of Oxford and Asquith could bicker together.”
