CANADA REVISES MOTOR PARTS TARIFF.

The Canadian Government has received an inquiry from the Australian Government as to the application of the. dumping clause to Australian butter subsidised for export. Mr Robb, Minister of Finance, announced to-day that it was proposed to add to the free list a number of parts not produced in Canada for use in the original equipment and manufacture of automobiles, including the following: Tops, wheels and bodies, dutiable to 20 per cent British preference, 27£ intermediate, and 30 per cent general; chassis, 12*, 12£ and 20 per cent respectively.
