N.Z. MINERS ASK FOR 5-DAY WEEK.
CONFERENCE TO BE HELD NEXT WEEK. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 3. A conference between New Zealand miners and representatives of the coal mine owners to discuss claims bv miners for a new agreement, will be held next week. The miners are asking for a five-day week. It is understood that their other claims are oft a revolutionary description. and that the conference will be protracted.
