WARNING TO CONSUMERS. rpHE present demand for power is far in excess of the capacity of the existing plant, at Lake Coleridge, and to date supply has only been maintained by close co-operation of the large consumers, who, ungrudgingly and at considerable inconvenience to themselves, have on request materially reduced their demand daily during peak load hours. For the next two months the conditions of overload will become more severe, and all consumers are requested t.o co-oper-ate by cutting down their demands to a minimum and avoiding the use of unnecessary electrical equipment between the hours 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on ordinary week-days and between S a.m. and *8 p.m. oh Fridays. The Department is using every effort to expedite the installation of the additional pHint at Lake Coleridge, but until this is in operation it may be necessary in case of excessive overload temporarily to cut off power as a measure of protection.
