AUSSIE SAILORS MEET TROUBLE IN ENGLAND.

LONDON. April 15. The high spirits of ten Australian sailors of the Australian cruiser. Melbourne, who landed at Portsmouth, led to riotous scenes, in the course of which the offenders were arrested. It was stated in court that the melee occurred with civil police and a Naval patrol and civilians. A police sergeant was bitten and kicked and other police had to draw their truncheons. Australians coming from a local dance hall rushed to the assistance of their comrades, with the warcrv "Up with the Aussics!” The court inflicted small fines in most cases, and asked the Australian officers to convey a request to the commanding officer that the men restrain themselves in a visit to port.
