TWO MEN KILLED IN CAPSIZE ON SHINGLE.

Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, April 29. An inquest was held regarding the Dipton motor smash on April 6, when Alexander M'Kenzie and Thomas Price, the driver, were fatally injured. John William Murphy, the third occupant, who escaped slightly injured, said thaF the car was travelling at from 30 to 35 miles an hour. When it reached a stretch of loose gravel the back of the car swung round, and it capsized. He removed M’Kenzie from underneath the car. but he died in a few minutes. Medical aid was promptly summoned.

The police stated that the brakes appeared to have been applied. The front wheels were locked. The left near w*heel was damaged, and the tyre punctured. The car, which'was practically new', was apparently travelling so fast that the driver could not keep it on the road. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
