A NOTABLE SEASON.
This year will be one of the most notable in the musical history of New Zealand, if the proposed visits of all the great artists now under engagement to tom - the Dominion eventuate. The list of attractions will commence with the visit of Toti Dal Monte, the brilliant
coloratura soprano who passed through
Auckland the other day on. her way to Australia, where she opens her seasbn on May 8. Then will come the world-famous composerpianist, the Australian, Percy Grainger. Later will follow Chaliapin, the world’s greatest baritone, every song of whose is a revelation in singing and acting. Others to come will be Jascha Heifetz and Mischa Levitzki. All of these artists are on the records and graxnoPhiles are looking forward in pleasurable anticipation of hearing the artists themselves.
