A SCANDAL GREAT HAS COME TO LIGHT.

A scandal great has come to vex the folk of Gay Paree. although at first they were inclined to treat it as a joke, but now the point of all the wheeze they have begun to see, and all the worthy citizens are sending up a smoke. There is a famous dancer there, who shakes a nimble toe, as she upon the stage performs each night in gleaming silk, and Paris grinned with glee when she a week or two ago, was ordered by a specialist to bathe each day in milk. “ Oh, this is a delicious joke,” they murmured, as they grinned, but how their smiles all faded -when the awful tale was told, that when the milk had thus been used it once again was tinned, for Paris sickly wonders now if maybe it was sold. The angry people think the tale not now so humorous, and of that dancer’s foolish whim they bitterly complain, but they methink would not have raised so terrible a fuss, if she, like Mary Queen of Scots, had bathed in dry champagne.
