CLEAN YOUR OWN GLOVES.

Never wash chamois leather gloves in uncoloured water, as this is apt to make them become white, after a while,

Orange peel soaked overnight and put" in the water in which you intend washing the gloves will keep them a good colour. If your wash leather gloves are becoming shabby, you can rfiake them quite presentable by putting a few grains of permanganate of potash in a cupful of hot water. Allow the gloves to stand in this mixture for about hall' an hour, at the end of which time they will be dyed a good shade of brown. If you have any fawn kid gloves which need cleaning, wipe them evenly all over with the white of an egg. The result, you will find, is surprising.
