King Alfonso telegraphed King George expressing hij personal gratitude and the thanks of the Army and Navy and the whole Spanish nation io the British Air Force in the East for their splendid devotion in rescuing Captain Estevez, and asking permission to give the British airmen a Spanish decoration. King George has replied cordially acceding to the request.
